This page outlines our policy on returns, warranties and fault reporting. CranePartsUK.com is a trade-focused supplier, and all orders are supplied on a business-to-business basis unless agreed otherwise in writing.


Returns Policy

Requesting a return

If you need to return any parts, please email returns@cranepartsuk.com within:

  • 14 days of receiving your order, or

  • 30 days if goods are faulty or damaged

to request a returns authorisation.

All returns must be authorised in advance and issued with a returns number.
Returns received without a valid returns number will not be accepted.


Eligibility for return

Returned goods must be:

  • Unused and uninstalled

  • In resaleable condition

  • Returned with original packaging and documentation where applicable

Items showing signs of installation, damage, modification or contamination will not be accepted.


Return costs and responsibility

Unless the return is due to our error (incorrect parts supplied) or confirmed faulty goods, you will be responsible for:

  • Arranging and paying for return carriage

  • Ensuring goods are adequately packaged and insured

  • Original outbound delivery charges, which are non-refundable once incurred

We strongly recommend confirming part numbers, crane model and serial number before ordering to avoid unnecessary returns.


Non-returnable items

The following items are non-returnable, unless confirmed faulty:

  • Electrical components once fitted or powered

  • Special-order or non-stock items

  • Items ordered incorrectly by the customer

  • Items returned without original packaging

This is due to manufacturer and supplier restrictions.


Faulty or Damaged Goods

Goods damaged in transit

If goods arrive damaged:

  • Notify us within 24 hours of delivery

  • Retain all packaging

  • Provide clear photographs of the damage

Failure to report transit damage promptly may affect our ability to raise a claim with the carrier.


Faulty goods

If a part is suspected to be faulty:

  • Contact us immediately

  • Do not continue to use the item

  • Do not attempt repairs or modifications

Items may need to be returned for inspection before a replacement or credit is issued.


Warranty Information

Warranty coverage

Warranty is provided in line with the manufacturer’s warranty terms. Warranty typically covers manufacturing defects only and does not cover:

  • Wear and tear

  • Incorrect installation

  • Misuse or overload

  • Damage caused by contamination or poor maintenance

Warranty periods vary depending on the product and manufacturer.


Genuine and aftermarket parts

  • Genuine OEM parts are covered by the manufacturer’s OEM warranty

  • Aftermarket parts are covered by the relevant supplier warranty

Warranty terms may differ between products. If unsure, please contact us before purchase.


Warranty claims

To process a warranty claim, we may require:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Part number and order reference

  • Details of the reported fault

  • Installation and usage information

All warranty claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may require inspection prior to approval.


Labour & Consequential Loss

CranePartsUK.com does not cover labour costs, downtime, loss of earnings or consequential losses arising from:

  • Part failure

  • Incorrect installation

  • Warranty claims

  • Delayed delivery

Liability is limited to the supply, replacement or credit of the part only, in line with B2B supply terms.


Important Notes

  • All parts should be fitted by a competent, qualified engineer

  • Electrical components should be tested prior to full installation where possible

  • Confirm part suitability before ordering to avoid delays and unnecessary costs
